Hi there! My name is Edit Helgee. I am an algorithm developer and aspiring patent engineer with a Ph.D. in physics who likes to write. I started a blog in my first language (Swedish) as a Ph.D. student in order to share my interest in science and technology with a wider audience, but as it turns out a large part of the (potential) wider audience is English-speaking. Hence, this blog.
The intention is to write mainly about materials science and condensed matter physics, which is what I did my Ph.D. on, and signal processing, which is what I (mostly) do now, but other things that I find interesting or cool may sneak in. Updates are likely to be irregular.
The name comes from my Swedish blog, which got it's name because a large part of my Ph.D. work consisted of building models of the interactions between the atoms.
